This is so you spend less time in the waiting room and so we are not rushed and will be able to spend adequate time with your pet. However, no cases will be refused and emergency cases will be given priority attention. After Hours Services We provide a 24/7 afterhours service. Please call 0407744759 afterhours number. On the rare occasion that we cannot attend to your call we also use the Southern Animal Emergency Centre. House Calls House calls can be arranged for those who find it difficult to bring their pet to the clinic. We do prefer to see patients at the hospital because we feel we provide a better service here with access to all our equipment and staff. There is an extra fee for this service. Payments Our clinic receives no support from charitable organisations or from the government. Therefore prompt payment assures maintenance of a well equipped and well-stocked facility for the medical care your pet deserves. All routine services must be paid for at the time of service. We accept cash, cheques and all cards except Diners. If you are worried about the cost please discuss this with us before treatment commences. We will give an estimate of costs involved for all cases involving detailed treatment. Wildlife We are happy to attend to sick and injured wildlife at no charge. Advice on Bringing Pets to the Clinic Please ensure that your cat is properly restrained in an appropriate box or basket when travelling and entering the clinic. Cats held in their owner's arms or wrapped in a towel can easily escape when frightened or nervous. We have a number of cages available for loan. All dogs should be on leads. Admission to the Hospital Patients to be admitted for surgery should have had nothing to eat or drink from 8pm the night before. Admission time is between 8.30am and 10.00am. If this is inconvenient other arrangements can be made. Most surgical procedures are performed in the morning and the majority of pets go home the same evening. We believe most pets are happier and relaxed in their home environment and recover more rapidly.
